Purpose

Hello to all!

First off I'd like to thank you for coming and reading this here blog. This blog serves one purpose. To help share the love and knowledge of Jesus our Lord and Savior. Now you may be wondering what the title and such has to do with this purpose?

So often in today's society people say that they will get around to sharing their faith with others. This blog is one attempt at getting around to it. I have heard it said, "Hey, why didn't I see you at church this week?" "Oh, something came up." In a busy world, God seems to be put on the back burner as we say, eh, we'll get around to my relationship with God.

Here are three things that I am offering you if you will take the journey with me as this blog goes on:

1. At least one message a week

I have a passion to share and study the Bible. This blog is going to help in getting that out. We will be looking at passages all around the Bible, from beginning to end. I know God can do great things, even through reading a blog on the internet. Therefore at least one new sermon will be posted a week.

2. An open forum

If you are concerned with something that is said, please comment or send me a message. This blog is not intended to be me showing that I am the most intelligent person to ever look at scripture, I am just seeking to help spread the joys of the gospel. I have no intention of typing at you, but rather enjoying this adventure together.

3. A salvation theme

God loves you. Yes, you, the one reading this right now. The focus is not on my writings, or stories that will be used to help give a different perspective of the truths found in scripture, but rather the love that Jesus poured out to us when He died on the cross for OUR sins. We have been called to go into the world and make disciples. That won't happen if the salvation Jesus offered isn't discussed.

So this is it. I'll click post, the journey begins. I hope you are excited, because I'm ecstatic for God's power to shine through.

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." 1 John 4:7-11

With Love,
